Moondance Preparation Retreat

With Xochitlquetzalli and Shimshai, custodians of the Temazcal, Teotlac Vision Quest and Chicuauhtlimetztli Moondance Ceremonies from the Ollintlahuimetztli Lineage.

This Retreat is to prepare for our annual ceremony of the Moondance which takes place over the Summer Solstice June 17 - 22. Led by Xochitlquetzalli and Shimshai with our Moondance Council, Drum Leaders, Sahumadoras & Fire Keepers. We encourage all the new dancers to come and prepare for your participation in this life-changing ceremony. 

With Gratitude, we welcome your presence to this Retreat, praying for a peaceful and harmonious ceremony with the Moondance Family, our Grandmother moon, and the Sacred Ancestral land, the four directions, guardians, and ancestors to receive all the healing, clarity, and strength into our lives and our families. We reunite to pray in preparation for the Moondance ceremony.

We are a family who dances under the Moon to pray and transform ourselves, to remember our ancestors, honor our feminine lineage, be in peace and harmony with each other, and bring that medicine of love to our families and lives. The Moondance is specifically for Women and passed on through a lineage of women; All men are welcome to our retreat. New dancers are encouraged to participate so they can prepare with their Godmothers for the prayer. 

We have camping available for all guests. Anyone registered is welcome to come and camp on the land at no extra cost. Please stay in the designated areas. We may have other accommodations available for this retreat and we will let our participants know on a first come first serve basis once they are open for reservation at an additional cost.
